About this listen
Two sisters. One brutal murder. A quest for vengeance that will unleash Hell itself....
A new series from the number one New York Times best-selling author of Stalking Jack the Ripper.
Emilia and her twin sister Vittoria are streghe - witches who live secretly among humans, avoiding notice and persecution. One night, Vittoria misses dinner service at the family's renowned Sicilian restaurant. Emilia soon finds the body of her beloved twin...desecrated beyond belief.
Devastated, Emilia sets out to find her sister's killer and to seek vengeance at any cost - even if it means using dark magic that's been long forbidden.
Then Emilia meets Wrath, one of the Wicked-princes of Hell she has been warned against in tales since she was a child. Wrath claims to be on Emilia's side, tasked by his master with solving the series of women's murders on the island. But when it comes to the Wicked, nothing is as it seems....

Wait for book 2
Overall the plot book is extremely generic and predictable. Hopefully book 2 (when released) will redeem the series.

Brilliant!
Kerri is an incredible writer. She takes her time introducing new characters, giving hints as to who they are and what role they may play without spending too much time on them because let’s be honest.. everyone is holding out for scenes between our heroine and her love interest… I was never bored. The narration is amazing - the accents especially. An absolute favourite.

great story
I listened to all three books in this series because the story was captivating.
the struggle here for me was the narrator. flipping between posh British and Italian in the same sentence (not for character voices just because) was a little distracting. changing pace was a put off.
I do have to give her credit for her efforts in the character voices. most of the time, you could tell when someone else was talking quite easily.

I'm Questioning Why I Liked This Book
The Kingdom of the Wicked is one of those books where you find numerous plot holes, loose ends, obvious villains, and a female lead who makes a lot of eye-brow-raising choices. However, despite all this, you cannot stop listening because the writing style is captivating, the narrator is engaging, and the world concept holds enough mystery that you need answers. I honestly questioned my personal taste in books once I finished it, but loved it nonetheless.

i really enjoyed this book
I loved the olde world magic & setting this story provoked, with ancient sayings, grimoires, witches & demons. Narrator was excellent. Cant wait for book 2.

So much fun!
Loved this book. Great characters. Enjoyed the narration. Listened to it all in one day. Even if you think you can guess what will happen next, the next twist has you rethinking all your who done it theories. Jumping straight into the next one!

Great performance and character development
This is the best performance I’ve heard in so long! The male voices weren’t overly put on, and there was a clear distinction between talking and the narrative.
The story itself was interesting and punchy with great character development.
I’ll be looking out for more audiobooks from both the author and the narrator!

Where is the devil
Firstly I found parts of this book hard to get into and relate, but I have to say I wanted to keep going, the good parts and the narrator kept me going and I would like to continue onto the next.
I think it’s when the author repeats the story over and over the it becomes taxing.
The narrator did a really good job and her Italian was excellent.
Both narrator Ana author are new to me.
