Publisher's Summary

All hail the king and queen of Hell.

Two curses. One prophecy. A reckoning all have feared. And a love more powerful than fate....

From the number one New York Times best-selling author of the Stalking Jack the Ripper series comes the dazzling conclusion to the Kingdom of the Wicked trilogy.

Emilia is reeling from the shocking discovery that her twin sister, Vittoria, is alive. But before she faces the demons of her past, Emilia yearns to claim her king, the seductive Prince of Wrath, in the flesh. Emilia doesn't simply desire his body, she wants his heart and soul—but that's something the enigmatic demon can't promise her.

When a high-ranking member of House Greed is assassinated, Emilia and Wrath are drawn to the rival demon court. Damning evidence points to Vittoria as the murderer, and she's quickly declared an enemy of the Seven Circles. Despite her betrayal, Emilia will do anything to solve this new mystery and find out who her sister really is.

Together Emilia and Wrath play a sin-fuelled game of deception as they work to stop the unrest that's brewing between witches, demons, shape-shifters and the most treacherous foes of all: the Feared.

Emilia was warned that when it came to the Wicked, nothing was as it seemed. But, have the true villains been much closer all along? When the truth is finally revealed, it just might end up costing Emilia her heart.

great story

I listened to all three books in this series because the story was captivating.
the struggle here for me was the narrator. flipping between posh British and Italian in the same sentence (not for character voices just because) was a little distracting. changing pace was a put off.
I do have to give her credit for her efforts in the character voices. most of the time, you could tell when someone else was talking quite easily.

Good but not great

Okay firstly the narrator does really well expressing the emotions and setting of the story without going overboard. Great for an audiobook. However the story plot of Kerri’s final instalment for the kingdom of the wicked series has so many plot holes. The story jumps from different scenarios and completely sidelines Wrath who seems to have very little to do with anything in this novel. Such a shame cause I truely loved the first two books, but I feel like this one was really rushed and not thought through properly.

Aside from that it’s still a good read or audiobook if you want something fun and fast paced. Still enjoyed the plot, just be prepared to feel occasionally confused over missing details in the story.

Accents?

Why does a woman from Sicily have a strong British accent? I had to give up after trying to push through for 2 hours...

Non stop excitement.

A fantastic conclusion to the Kingdom of the Wicked series.
This was non stop of unveiling secrets & bombs just being dropped. I was like OMG all the way through.
The spice level has been levelled all the way up. Loved the furious attraction between Emilia & Wrath.
Found the end did wrap up a little too quickly & as this is the final I found a few plot threads are still outstanding making me want more answers.
Sad this series as come to an end, but it was one HELL of a journey to get answers.

I tried so hard to like it

I love this series and I just felt like this final installment didn't quite hit the mark. Still worth reading to know what happens and the overall story does have some good twists, I just didn't feel as convinced as in the earlier two books.

Adequate

Not my favourite book in the series. The performer over performed quite consistently. I didn't devour it like I did the first two books. still an adequate ending but a bit predictable.

More!

I thoroughly enjoy this Narrator and all the intense background music, and whispers and all things fantastical going on with this series! My own problem is that I feel like it concluded too fast. I was expecting more when they realised what was needed to be done. It just felt quite plain, compared to everything else that happened. Still, I enjoyed this series, and could definitely go another book... especially to see where Lucia goes with her side!

Love love love

This story was well written and the narrator delivered it with such finesse that I was easily lost within the world of the wicked
