Publisher's Summary
Meet the Kings of Sin . . .
The must-read billionaire romance from the bestselling author of the Twisted series.
Read King of Pride now for a steamy opposites attract romance.
She's his opposite in every way . . . and the greatest temptation he's ever known.
Reserved, controlled, and proper to a fault, Kai Young has neither the time nor inclination for chaos - and Isabella, with her purple hair and inappropriate jokes, is chaos personified.
With a crucial CEO vote looming and a media empire at stake, the billionaire heir can't afford the distraction she brings.
Isabella is everything he shouldn't want, but with every look and every touch, he's tempted to break all his rules . . . and claim her as his own.
***
Bold, impulsive, and full of life, Isabella Valencia has never met a party she doesn't like or a man she couldn't charm . . . except for Kai Young.
It shouldn't matter. He's not her type - the man translates classics into Latin for fun, and his membership at the exclusive club where she bartends means he's strictly off limits.
But she can't deny that, beneath his cool exterior, is a man who could make her melt with just a touch.
No matter how hard they try, they can't resist giving into their forbidden desires.
Even if it costs them everything.
King of Pride is a steamy opposites attract billionaire romance. It includes explicit content and profanity. Recommended for mature readers only.

Awful male narration
The male lead attempts to do a British accent, and it is so bad. Very very cringy.

Meh
The male narrator spoiled this story for me, the accent was so contrived and fake.

The narrators voice
Bad choice of narration. Couldn’t finish it which is a first for the author. Would have returned it if I could

Disappointing
Characters aren’t as exciting as previous couples in the first book of this series and the twisted series. Narrators excessively pompous voices. Struggling to keep listening, a little cringe.

The male narrator really ruined it, I’m afraid 😩
Fortunately I’d read the reviews so only started this audiobook when I had a physical copy too because I just couldn’t get past the male narration. His accent really made Kai unlikable and irritating, which is not how I read him while physically reading the book. It was as though he’d been given the brief of ‘snobby brit’ and just read his lines, not giving Kai with any warmth or even any character development as he falls for Isabella… so I ended up physically reading at least all of Kai’s chapters from halfway through (and most of Isabella’s too). I really liked Kai’s voice in ‘King of Wrath’ so it’s a shame they didn’t use the same narrator. I did like Isabella’s narration though. Glad I read the reviews first! Stick to the physical book for this one as there’s no chemistry in the audiobook

Bar tender falls in love
First half was descriptive information on chiseled Chins and my stomach felt like…. My heart throbbed… ect. This was repeated it should have been a lot less. The characters voice for Kaye was pretty bad for a while but you do get used to it. However with the crossover from king of wrath Viviana character voice in this book is very snobby posh which does not reflect the other book the same way.
Loved the storyline. Really good. Just a few downfalls. Please don’t dwell on the very long descriptions of each moment that was bugging me.

Please bring back Jacob Morgan 🥵
This is a strong 3 TBH. I loved all of Ana Huangs Twisted series and King of Wrath ... swoon but this was flat. I was not enthralled with the story at all. I just was not engaged with Kai and the male narrator.

Terrible male narrator
I listens to this book despite how appalling the male narrator was. It’s a shame the extent to which a terrible accent and poor performance can detract from an otherwise entertaining book
