Okay, so my bad for assuming the guy I was going on a date with wasn't married.
And my bad for taking him to a friend's house for dinner, only to find out my friend is also friends with his wife. Because, in fact, he is married. And she happens to be at my friend's house because her husband was "busy working."
Confused? So am I.
Unsurprisingly, my date's wife is super angry about finding out that her husband is a cheating asshole. Girl, I get it.
Then to make matters more convoluted, there is the man sitting next to my date's wife. A man named King, who is apparently her brother, and who lives up to his name.
Since my date is a two-timing prick, I'm not going to feel bad about drooling over King, especially since I'll never see him again. Or at least I don't plan to.
I plan to take an Uber to the cheater's apartment to get my car keys. I plan for it to be quick.
If I had to list a thousand possible outcomes… witnessing my date's murder, being kidnapped by his killer, then being forced to marry the super attractive but clearly deranged crime lord would not have been on my bingo card.
But alas, here I am.

Chemistry that is 🔥
This is a re-read and review for me. It's great to go back and get to know King and Savannah again.
King and Savannah had amazing chemistry. Right from their disastrous first meeting, there was something drawing them to each other.
I really enjoy when animals play an important role in the book, and Duke definitely did.
This book had a great pace and flow. It kept me interested in what was happening, with some sexual tension, spice, and some heartache along the way.
There were also some great cameo appearances by Nero. With the introduction to King in Nero's book, I really wanted to get to know him better, and this book did not disappoint. A quote in the book that really demonstrated my feelings from the book, "Love me or hate me, Honey, but neither of us is ever touching anyone else again".
I read on Kindle and read along on Audible with dual narration.

Alliance Perfection
Reread Dec 2024: Still love this book. Listened to the audio this time and it was perfection. Dual narration which isn’t my favourite. But it was done so well! Both narrators did an incredible job. Forced proximity, arranged marriage, darkish mafia, obsessive and possessive MMC, fiery and fierce FMC.

I devoured this book in one day. It was incredible from start to finish. The fast paced nature of the book is complemented by the back and forth of the dual POV. It’s executed perfectly so that you continually have each main character’s perspective.

voice overs were good
kings voice of payton was a little off
but overall it the voice overs used expression well and was easy to listen to and understand

Thank you for bringing Daddy king to life
I love this audiobook so much, I already adore the book, and I enjoy listening to this. Both narrators did a great job, bringing the story to life, this one is really worth it if you like the book.

Another fantastic book by S.J
I really enjoy the dry humour S.J uses in these books, I find myself laughing out loud while listening to these books. Loving the plus size ladies in the books, loving the body positivity and the guys love of a ‘soft body’!
