About this listen
Every assassin has a first time…
On the backstreets of Lyon, France, an MI6 surveillance team are gunned down in a cold-blooded ambush. Thrust into the hunt for the assassin is the sole survivor – rookie covert operative Duncan Grant.
His feats in training are already the stuff of legend. His tough, solitary existence on Scotland's Isle of Skye forging a man willing to kill to protect the innocent and save lives.
But no training can prepare Grant for the devastating consequences his first kill will unleash.
As he follows a bloody trail of clues around the globe, he discovers that his own agency is selling him out.
Now Grant is about to find himself in the middle of an international conspiracy involving a corrupt Interpol detective, a Saudi prince, and the highest levels of government.
But they've underestimated the wrong man.
And Grant's about to prove to them that the second kill is far easier than the first.

Great listen
Really good story. The main characters are very engaging...difficult to stop listening. The narration is fabulous and adds to it all.

Amazing and brilliantly written plot
Kill Day had me hooked from the very beginning. An amazingly well researched, suspense novel by a very talented author.
Any book narrated by Angus King is always a pleasure. For someone with such a beautiful Scots accent he does a very good account of all English accents, particularly the upper class English; so much so I found those characters to be very irritating as people! He might need to work on his Aussie one a little though 😉
Great fast moving book, with lots of suspense and action. Highly recommend.

Far Fetched
I realise I might be an outsider and recognise that this was an exciting, fast past story but I am afraid it was a bit too violent for me. I also thought some of the situations where Duncan Grant found his way out of such sticky situations was too far fetched

Great spy novel with some introspection
Of course, Angus King is excellent, but this was my first Duncan Grant novel and I’ve just bought the second. Gripping
