The last in the series.
The Wrap Up
Finally Carly is forced to face her sneaky finance, Jake and the man who raised her, multi millionaire Mr Blakely
( his first name escapes me for now )
It brings together Deputy Sheriff, Marco (bf ) and one legged Hank (substitute father ) as they rush against time to reach her before the ill fated meeting between her and Dest Old Dad takes place .
A meeting that, most likely, she won’t be walking out alive from.
But!
She has a plan… Of sorts
However, like most plans , there are hiccups.
Leading to a the bloody shot out that was, in some respects, inevitable.
But Wait!
What about Carly’s O G boyfriend Wyatt??
What became of him after she left him eating dust at a Texas Gas Station???
Well…..
The answer to THAT question it left to the very end, where the author, after allowing us a redemption moment between he and Carly during their road tripping, FLIPS the narrative ONCE AGAIN!!!

Overall, I HAVE really enjoyed this series and it has wet my appetite for some more of this authors books
There are still some side characters, that survived the Drum massacre who’s stories need telling
