About this listen
Star hockey player Daniel Sacachelli wants only two things: 1) for the Falcons to win next season, and 2) for his secret—the fact he's actually the prince of Eldonia—to never make its way to Chicago. But if Daniel keeps avoiding his crown, their family will lose their kingdom forever.
Madison Myong can't believe that her will-they-or-won't-they best friend Daniel is really a prince! He's always seemed more rebel than royal. But now, he needs to clean up his image, fast. Posing as his long time girlfriend, Madison accompanies him back to Eldonia, intending to give Daniel a makeover fit for a king.
Only, the more royal Daniel becomes, the more Madison misses her best friend. And if she does her job right, she'll lose him forever . . .

Just one of the... NOPE
I really enjoyed the first book in this series. Female ice hockey player protagonist - exactly what I was after. Got excited that it was a trilogy to find out what happens to the Falcons. But this? What is this? Despite being in a serious about a hockey team, and has ice skates on the cover, it has nothing to do with ice hockey or even the team. The first one was just believable enough to suspend disbelief, and was a fun romp. The plot for this is just... I'm sorry, stupid. It's like some made for tv teenage Disney movie, but with less sense, or like a couple of 13 year olds came up with it on a sleepover. And the writing is just bad, bearing little resemblance to Just One of the Boys. "Someone let common riff raff in here. Arrest them." I'm sorry, what?! Name one currently serving queen anywhere in the world who would talk like that. It's like how little kids think royalty talks. Unfortunately, it looks like the third in the series follows in this same vein, but on the upside it means I don't have to finish listening to this travesty.
