Lang, lang geleden gebeurde er elk jaar iets vreselijks in een stad, gewoon hier in Nederland. In die stad, die we nu kennen als Ridderkerk, leefde toen een hele enge draak. Een draak met wel vier koppen en een vreselijke adem. Deze draak wilde elk jaar een mooi jong meisje om haar lekker op te peuzelen. De koning van die stad was wel rechtvaardig, want elk jaar deed hij alle namen van de meisjes in de stad in een grote ton en werd er eentje getrokken. Dat meisje was dan degene die naar de draak werd gestuurd.
