Romanen "Jørgen Lykke" er en del af Thit Jensens romanprojekt "Himmerlands Nitakkede Krone", som fortaeller om Danmark fra omkring år 900 til slutningen af 1500-tallet. Udover denne roman består projektet bl.a. også af romanerne Stygge Krumpen, Den sidste valkyrie og Prins Nilaus af Danmark.
Thit Jensen (1876-1957) var en af Danmarks vigtigste kvindelige forfattere i det 20. århundrede.
