About this listen

Set in the late 1800s on a family farm in New South Wales, Australia, Joseph, a widowed father, faces the challenges of raising his three sons alone. Jacob and Jason struggle with the absence of a mother, while Jonah, the middle son, battles a severe speech impediment and learning difficulties. Their story parallels the biblical Jonah's, highlighting themes of faith and resilience as Jonah confronts adversity.

The screenplay is authored by Lyn Phoenix, a retired speech/language pathologist and assistive technology specialist with 37 years of experience in public schools across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. Lyn has published numerous professional articles and written courses for virtual schools. Now retired, she devotes her time to writing fiction, sharing her deep faith through her work. She is also the author of the novel The Walk Home and is currently working on her next book, The God Nod. Lyn lives with her husband and is blessed with three married children and five grandsons.
