Publisher's Summary
The best-selling autobiography of a league legend.
Johnathan Thurston is widely regarded as rugby league's greatest player. This autobiography will follow Thurston's journey from a Brisbane kid who was written off as too skinny, too slow, and too wild to play professionally, to his debut with the Canterbury Bulldogs in 2003, to State of Origin star, to Dally M and Clive Churchill Medal winner, and the fairytale premierships.

Great book about a great guy
Enjoyed listening to this book. It would have been even better if JT read it himself. The guy reading was ok but having JT read his own story would have been far better. Thanks for the memories JT, you’re a great man.

A JT absolute must read 👍😊
great insight into the man as a footballer, father, husband, son, nephew etc ... the good and the bad ... there'll never be another JT 👍😊 .'.. narration was average nothing to rave about ... some expletives in parts which doesn't really suit an audio book ... those bits would have been better received in the hardcopy ... otherwise captivating read from start to finish ... I actually finished it in one read ... so yes recommend !👍😊

An interesting read even for non football fans
Everyone in Australia has heard of JT and as someone who doesn’t follow football, I really enjoyed JT’s autobiography. A very real story, warts and all, fears and failure, proud moments. Thanks JT

Where's the JT laugh?
I just wish JT read his own book. I wanted to hear his laughing and not the narrators "haha"

What a legend.
Such a great story. From where he started to where he ended up is a true testament to what a hard worker and incredible guy JT is.

Great Insight
I really enjoyed the insight into JT’s life as a young boy and teen, and his upbringing, family, etc. The footy stories are great and some of the ‘behind the scenes’ of the inner workings of football were good too. If not able to be read by JT himself, I think a professional voice actor should have been used to make the listen a lot more enjoyable. I understand that it’s being read by the author, but the reading is stilted at times and lacks the quality that befits a legend of league and Australian sport.
