Publisher's Summary

BOOK ONE OF THE GALLAGHERS OF ARDMORE TRILOGY

In Gallagher’s Pub, where the fire is burning low and the pints are waiting, #1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts has a story to tell...

Determined to reevaluate her life, Jude Murray flees America to take refuge in Faerie Hill Cottage, immersing herself in the study of Irish folklore and discovering hope for the future of the magical past.

Finally back home in Ireland after years of traveling, Aidan Gallagher possesses an uncommon understanding of his country’s haunting myths. Although he’s devoted to managing the family pub, a hint of wildness still glints in his eyes - and in Jude, he sees a woman who can both soothe his heart and stir his blood. And he begins to share the legends of the land with her - while they create a passionate history of their own.

Accents - terrible

It’s a shame. The accents spoilt the reading of the story. Use English readers who are much more adept at Irish accents or why not even an Irish reader for the recording.

An enjoyable but light book

A predictable ending but enjoyable tale. Irish accent a bit overdone but still believable made me buy the other two books of the trilogy

Not what I was expecting

Not much magic in this early series of Roberts, so it's a bit disappointing in that respect. the story is still great, the writing exceptional, I just miss the magic. I love falling into other worlds of magic so I missed it from this book. a fairy prince making an appearence and his ghost lady wasn't enough to satisfy me💔

Perfect romance to play in the background!

Really easy listening and a pretty good plot! I love how consistent Nora Roberts plots are because it’s my time to escape mentally and the plots are just so easy to digest.
The narrator was great. Recommend the three sisters trilogy to anyone who likes this plot and narrator.

Good story from a beloved author

While I enjoyed the storyline and always love entering into the lives of Roberts’ characters, the performance of the story teller was stilted, uncomfortable and exceptionally BORING! I can’t listen to her again with the other two books in this series... in fact I’ll be spending my money on buying them as the Kindle version rather than listen to her voice again.

difficult to listen to

I found the narration very stilted and difficult to listen to. It did not flow very well and had the impression of being read from a very unfamiliar script. loved the story line itself, but difficult to listen to the narration.

Awful accent

I have never heard a worse Irish accent by any narrator, completely spoiled the book, listened as long as I could then gave up.
