Publisher's Summary

Jason Isaacs joins us at the Audible Studios to discuss narrating The Island of Dr Moreau by H. G. Wells. Playing the iconic role of Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films as well as Dr. Hunter Aloysius 'Hap' Percy in The OA and being part of the Star Trek franchise, he is a prolific and renowned actor.

H. G. Wells, similarly, is one of the most prolific science fiction authors of all time. The Island of Dr Moreau is a fascinating exploration of what it is to be human. Following the three main characters - Edward Prendick, Montgomery and Dr Moreau - listeners will soon discover not everything is quite as it should be, especially on Dr Moreau’s island. This is part of Audible’s H. G. Wells: The Science Fiction collection, a bundle of H. G. Wells’ five science-fiction novels, each performed by a celebrity narrator.

In this interview, Jason tells us about narrating The Island of Dr Moreau, what his kids think of this work, and the casting director who thought his hands were more interesting than his acting talent.
