About this listen
Now more than ever, Spencer, Daisy, and even Dez must fight to save schools everywhere. Toxites, the small creatures that love to feed on the brain waves of students, are just the beginning of their troubles. The Bureau of Educational Maintenance (BEM) is after Spencer, and the Rebels hope to sneak him to safety within the walls of an elite private school.
But danger follows Spencer and his friends, testing their loyalty and trust as well as their Toxite-fighting skills. Can they hold out long enough to discover the true secret of New Forest Academy and what it means to the future of education?

Enjoyable sequel to 1st book
It was again enjoyable to read/listen to however the ending was messy and too much was crammed into the end which could have been more streamlined at least if not broken into a book and short story or similar. It gave no time to recover and tidy off one near death mission before leaping into another. I still get confused at which monsters do what and in the flurry sometimes I missed a crucial linking tidbit which meant i reread a few sections a few times before I felt I had all the necessary data to read on. In saying this, I enjoyed the book and the premise and recommended to young readers to enjoy. I would love, considering the international audience, for this and similar books broaden their scope to beyond trying to take over America and American schools and see an attempt to incorporate the rest of the planet (which contribute a large portion of readers I am guessing. Again not specifically talking about this series but there is definitely scope to extend internationally which would be a nice gesture to us international readers and fan base.
