Publisher's Summary

Primarchs Book 8.

For long years, the White Scars have fought for the Imperium, bringing worlds to compliance. But when a new project, to embed psykers in the Space Marine Legions, seems likely to come to fruition, Jaghatai Khan must decide if he will comply....

Listen to it because Chris Wraight returns to the Khan of Khans with a tale set at the height of the Great Crusade and showing the momentous decisions that, in some ways, led to the darkest events of the Horus Heresy.

Jaghatai Khan is GOATED

If you’re a fan of 40k and in particular space marines - this is a must read. Not only does it unpack the elusive and independent philosophy of Jaghatai Khan, but it talks to his loyal retainers and his interactions with his brother primarchs. A battle between being forced into service and seeking independence from it all. Jaghatai is worthy.

For the Khan!

Fantastic voice and super gripping in parts. I've also never smacked my steering wheel while driving in enjoyment of some of the chapters.

A legion in a book done right

This book provides a perfect taste of the white scars and the Khan, both of which are deeply interesting. Lots of other primarch novels focuse to heavily on the Legion or the subjects of the book are just not that interesting or compelling. This has a nice balance of time spent on the Khan and the Legion, considering a whole part of the Khan's character is that is isn't entirely knowable.
