About this listen
I’ll be the first to admit: I have made promises to myself that I couldn’t keep. And each time I made a promise, I was somehow convinced that it was the very last time.
Many years ago, I suffered from something common to mankind: the aversion to change. I often entertained fantasies about living a better life and building healthier relationships, but when it came to taking action, I quivered and retreated to my comfort zone. It’s not that I didn’t want to potentially upgrade my career, health, and relationships, but that I couldn’t seem to get myself to commit to them long enough for permanent change to take place. Does this sound familiar? You may feel like a big fish in a small pond, frustrated at continuing the same old cycles and routines for another year. There’s a deep part of you that desires change but another part that doesn’t want to rock the boat. After all, if it’s not broken, don’t fix it, right? But what if your comfort zone is the real enemy disguised as security? Contrary to popular belief, change doesn’t start by making new resolutions but by reprogramming your mind. Deep within the abyss of your psyche lies your subconscious mind: the place where your past, unresolved emotions, memories, and self-limiting beliefs go to hide.
What lives in the subconscious influences what appears in the conscious— your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and most importantly, your habits. By learning more about your subconscious mind, you can get behind your habits and reconfigure how you perceive yourself and the world around you. This sounds magical, right? Well, it’s more of a combination between science and psychology. There is a formula for permanent change, and it begins by listening to this book.
