About this listen
Noni Blake knows she wants more: more adventures, more joy, more romance, more orgasms, more pleasure...more everything. Now she just has to figure out how to get it.
Noni didn’t expect to be starting over at the age of 36. But 18 months after the end of her long-term relationship, she decides it’s time to start living her life again.
While an encounter with a sexy firefighter is a welcome entry back into the dating world, Noni soon realises she’s looking for more than just a series of brief, pleasurable encounters. She’s looking for more pleasure in, well, everything.
That’s how she finds herself travelling to Europe to track down the one that got away: the alluring, elusive Molly. But Europe may have other surprises in store....

"A laugh-out-loud romantic comedy about learning to fall in love with yourself, first and foremost. Noni Blake is the flirtatious, foul-mouthed, and flawed heroine you’ve been searching for - think Bridget Jones meets Queer as Folk. Claire Christian writes with fierce kindness and protectiveness over her readers; there’s no way you’ll finish this story without feeling better about yourself. This book is an antidote to complacency; Noni will inspire you to fight for the life and love you deserve, even if who you’re fighting against is yourself." (Michelle Law)
"For anyone who’s woken up heart-bruised and hungover, wondering when the compass called 'adulthood' is supposed to start pointing in the right direction, meet Noni Blake, your new superhero guide. This book is a joyous and hilarious romp around the world and back. Sexy in all the right places and squirm-inducing in all the others. Christian is a must-read author for anyone who loves their rom-coms real and utterly binge-able." (Bri Lee)

Loved it!
Loved the characters, could relate to them, and was hooked on the book. Finished it in two days. Loved that the book covered different sexualities, and made you love each and everyone of the characters.

Claire’s outstanding characters triumph again!
Noni Blake is on a quest for pleasure but what does that mean and what should that look like? This is a beautiful journey of the bumps and hiccups you might encounter when stumbling headfirst into your truth. Claire Christian’s signature uniquely multi-dimensional and intersectional characters enhance the delightfulness of this journey but it’s just such a breath of fresh air to have a desirable male who has done extensive work on himself and is unyielding in his quest for open-communication, authenticity and betterment. Swoony AF.

The ultimate pleasure quest.
You know the feeling when you’re trying to pick and book and nothings scratching that itch. This book was my book, it made me feel all the feels.
Noni is in a rut. Her life ended when her partner of 9 years Joan left, the house, the dog and their future gone. Noni struggled to find herself and couldn’t build her confidence back up form a negative value.
The best way to get over someone is to get under someone else right? A sexy firefighter sparks her interest they hit it off and she has a one night stand. Tragically she dies and Noni has a midlife crisis moment and decides she needs a fuck it list of all the people she wish she’d fucked and a plan to begin her pleasure quest.
Noni backs her bags and heads to Europe in search of fulfilment, pleasure and exploration. Then she meets Beau, the hot, tattooed, Vikings that changes the course. Happiness is always the right choice.
This is my favourite comfort read and on the 4th reread I fell more i love with the characters and have reignited that feeling or wanting more. We get into these pockets on comfort when we’re operating on autopilot. Life should be lived to the fullest every day and Noni radiates power and the confidence to say fuck it and do what makes you happy.

It was a pleasure
Initially, I felt underwhelmed by the strange, mundane chaos of this storyline. I didn’t relate to Noni’s direction or experiences. That being said, as the story progresses I realised how integral this opening sequence is as a staging for the beauty that unfolds in the remainder of this novel.
There is an impressive depth of thought that underpins the simple articulation of this story. The writing style is honest and captures emotionally rich, relatable experiences with ease. There is also a lack of predictability that is surprising, captivating but strangely comforting.
There is something to be learnt from this book. Something about growing at any age, embracing yourself, loving people with your whole being and letting yourself flow with the currents of life.
“You don’t have to stick anything out because of some sense of duty to a timeline you set for yourself.”
Have the audacity to seek your own pleasure.

Laughed so hard at one point I balled my eyes out
Funny & moving, with self-discovery and coming of age in your mid-thirties aspects. Enjoyed that the lead character is queer, without needing any analysis or explanation around this. Laughed, cried and loved alongside her. Story is narrated well, and is nicely understated. Very entertaining listen.
