About this listen
In this “brave and heartbreaking novel that digs its claws into you and doesn’t let go, long after you’ve finished it” (Anna Todd, New York Times bestselling author) from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of All Your Perfects, a workaholic with a too-good-to-be-true romance can’t stop thinking about her first love.
Lily hasn’t always had it easy, but that’s never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She’s come a long way from the small town where she grew up—she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. And when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily’s life seems too good to be true.
Ryle is assertive, stubborn, maybe even a little arrogant. He’s also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily. And the way he looks in scrubs certainly doesn’t hurt. Lily can’t get him out of her head. But Ryle’s complete aversion to relationships is disturbing. Even as Lily finds herself becoming the exception to his “no dating” rule, she can’t help but wonder what made him that way in the first place.
As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan—her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears, everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened.
An honest, evocative, and tender novel, It Ends with Us is “a glorious and touching read, a forever keeper. The kind of book that gets handed down” (USA TODAY).

Raw, heart-rending and extraordinary
This book has me speechless.
The development of the relationship between Lily and Ryle from sweet, romantic and nurturing and it's development into a dark and destructive one was utterly heart breaking.
Interwoven with excerpts from Lily's teenage diary entries provide insight into her past, her mother's abuse at the hands of Lily's father and her relationship with Atlas.
Were it not for some of the sexually explicit scenes, I would have both my daughters read this book (at 12 &14 I might wait a few years) because Lily's story delivers an incredible insight into the biology of abuse, and the emotional and mental justifications that women in these circumstances make in their decisions.
Every young woman should read this book... and every young man.
The authors epilogue was a powerful conclusion.

Exceptional writing. Emotional Rollercoaster.
Highly recommended! I loved this book. It is so raw and really tugged at my heart strings. I found myself reacting as if I were Lily. I look forward to reading more from this Author. Brilliant book! S

Hard to get into to start, but then finished it in a day once a quarter of the way in!
I found this book difficult to get into to start with as it was quite lovey dovey (which I know is conflicting as this is a romance novel). But I did also find this with another Colleen Hoover book “heart bones” which I ended up loving. I think these books need a kind of simplistic/annoyingly lovey/dovey plot to start, and then it moves into the juicy parts. I also found the narrator a little annoying in her tone of voice. I wish she didn’t give the characters so much “identity” in the way she spoke for each of them and left it more to our imagination of how they might have said different lines.
But about a quarter of the way in I was fully gripped and stuck - and then finished the book in 1 day.
Highly recommend this book and Colleen Hoover to anyone who loves a romance novel. Keen to read some of her other novels soon.

Powerful
This is a powerful story, telling of an abuse that I’m very fortunate to never have experienced but I know a lot of women do. I can’t imagine how hard it would have been for Colleen Hoover to tell it, now knowing her history. I would hope a lot of women who are in this predicament take courage from this story and find the strength to do the right thing by themselves and therefore their family.
Congratulations all round, great performance for a great story.

I’m the end I loved all of it
I loved this book, at first I read the summary and didn’t think much, but as I got reading and listening I fell in love with the characters. I wished many different endings and scenes but I knew the way the book was plotted was for a reason. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes romance. I plan to buy this book and place it on my bookshelf for me to read over and over again, it was the best book i have read and I believe it has changed my thinking. As much as I wished for a different ending, it was how it should have been.

Loved this book
My first Audiobook didn’t disappoint. I couldn’t stop listening! I felt the ended was a bit rushed however I was fully emerged throughout the whole experience, and even found myself getting nervous, frustrated, joyous and holding my breathe in fear.
Highly Recommend ♥️

Loved it
What I saw on someone’s Insta stories was not what I expected. I first thought it would be a 50 shades of grey type vibe but then went into this deep emotional journey. I loved it! Someone who hasn’t encounter DV was able to walk through the footsteps of someone else and see all sides of the hurt. I look forward to the sequel.
