Can't get enough!
I'm addicted to this series! It's my first taste of K.F.Breene and I'm definitely not disappointed. I will immediately purchase the next instalment "Siege" and I can't wait to see what happens. I have grown to love the characters and the storyline. Caitlin Davies is the perfect narrator for this series, she brings Shanti to life in a way no one else could! It's easy to differentiate between characters, and she has the skill to make the characters even more likeable. The Author and Narrator make a perfect combination for this story!!

Just love this series
Sometimes a series has a really great first book and then just doesn't follow through, this is not that series. Still as entrenching as the first book and even more heartrenching.

Good story but hated the narration
Two chapters into the book, I had to switch from listening to reading - absolutely hated the narrator.
Probably grated on me so badly because I just finished a really well narrated series. I had listened to the first 3 books with grumbles about narration but managed to finish them.
Edit:
Tried listening to it again and I hated it enough to actively avoid this narrator from now on. The. Worst. Ever.

I LOATHE this narrator
This is my favourite of K.F. Breene’s series, but the narrator is the atrocious. She adds extra punctuation into every sentence, so it sounds like this : Mark said, as they, neared. The open, prison door. “The Hunter, wouldn’t have, left officers, on their, own.” It is physically painful to listen to. For some reason, she has made the heroine the worst offender. She is supposed to have a lilting, musical quality to her voice. So, instead of giving her a hint of (eg. Irish, Welsh or French) accent, she sounds robotic.
Ms. Breene, please, please have these books remade, with someone who can string a sentence together without sounding constipated.
