Completed in 2012 at a height of 634 meters, Tokyo Skytree is the tallest building in Japan.
2012年に完成した東京スカイツリーは高さ634ｍで、日本で最も高い建造物です。
それまでは高さ333ｍの東京タワーが電波塔として利用されてきましたが、東京には高層建築が多いため、より高い電波塔が必要になったのです。
東京スカイツリーの高さ350ｍと450ｍの地点にある２つの展望台からは、日本で一番高いパノラマが楽しめます。
東京スカイツリーを真上から見ると、足元は正三角形ですが、高さ約300ｍで完全な円になります。
建物のデザインには、日本刀のようなカーブや、寺社の柱に見られるふくらみなど、日本の伝統美が用いられています。
東京スカイツリーの足元にある「東京スカイツリータウン」には、商業施設やプラネタリウム、水族館などの施設があります。
