 When hydrangeas come into bloom, festivals are held at "Ajisaidera" (hydrangea temple) and all around Japan. 日本では、初夏である6月から7月半ばにかけて、日本語で「梅雨」と呼ばれる雨季になります。

あじさいは日本原産で、梅雨どきの風物詩となっています。
あじさいが咲く季節になると、「あじさい寺」など、全国各地であじさい祭りが行われます。
1万株以上ものあじさいが咲き誇る場所や、多彩なイベントが行われる場所もあり、人々は雨の中、あじさいを観賞して楽しみます。
