Love Mercedes Lackey but this was a snooze :(

I usually love Mercedes Lackey but I just could NOT finish this one. It bored me to tears. I love me some cozy "slice of life" reads but this just couldn't do it for me.
The narration was pretty good, but it still couldn't catch my attention.
