Publisher's Summary

Random House presents the unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of Into the Water by Paula Hawkins, read by Imogen Church, Sophie Aldred, Daniel Weyman, Rachel Bavidge and Laura Aikman.

The addictive new psychological thriller from the author of The Girl on the Train, the runaway Sunday Times Number One best seller and global phenomenon.

In the last days before her death, Nel called her sister. Jules didn't pick up the phone, ignoring her plea for help.

Now Nel is dead. They say she jumped. And Jules has been dragged back to the one place she hoped she had escaped for good, to care for the teenage girl her sister left behind.

But Jules is afraid. So afraid. Of her long-buried memories, of the old Mill House, of knowing that Nel would never have jumped.

And most of all she's afraid of the water, and the place they call the Drowning Pool....

Gripping, well crafted listen

This is a book that is particularly well suited to being listened to. With multiple characters speaking from their own viewpoint it can get confusing. Thankfully the vocal talent in this rendition is outstanding and makes each character instantly recognizable. Highly recommended.

Not bad!

Was hard to get into in the beginning, as there were many different characters, however captivating shortly after. Worth the read!

Worth a Listen

All of the narrators (and there were a few) were brilliant to listen to. Story left you guessing along the way just like Girl on a Train. No need for TV when you can listen to suspense and let your imagination take over!

Right to the end

I do appreciate the skill of an author whose book cam go any number of ways right to the last few words of the book. This is ne such example. I found it difficult to keep track at times jumping from one characters account to another, one time to another and the background story from the main mystery... But it just means you do it again and listen more carefully.

long winded

This is a nice story but takes a while to get there. The characters are pretty good, they are read really well.

Mediocre

I think I was expecting great things from the author of Girl on the train.
I felt there were way too many characters to keep track of, many of them minor and unnecessary sharing their POV
The book could have had a lot of potential, particularly worth the spooky past of the water, but the ending was pretty boring and disappointing

On the plus side the voice actors were very engaging, making it very easy to listen to

very good

Although this didnt have as much suspense as her other novels, it was good. Not the novel to follow up with after reading Slow Burning.
