Such a well written story. Well narrated too.
I loved the gripping suspense mixed with the sound background. This would be my most favourite if Fleur McDonald’s books read and listened twice.

An intriguing tale of lost family and domestic abuse, intertwined with a tad of wildlife smuggling.
Because I have lived in the same region of the Flinders Ranges in which the story was set, I became a spectator to the characters as they interacted. Blinman is a tiny old town that sits in a visual oasis at the head of two of the most geologically significant gorges in the world. I enjoyed the development of the story and the players as they appeared. Well written and I teresti g!

Easy story to listen to
An enjoyable book, easy story line. Doesn't pull you in but not boring either. The narrator sounds like a news reader at times and made the main character sound like an air head for most of the book then changed towards the end, not consistent with her voices and struggled to change characters which made listening a little frustrating. Overall a good book but would have been much better with a different narrator or if she was maybe a bit more practiced.

Great read
This was a great storyline, sadly about domestic violence but of a truly courageous women who broke free. It also shone light on poaching of wildlife.
I loved hearing about another region in Australia.
