About this listen

Petite, kind, brilliant, and young, Stevie is nothing like the usual women in whom bodyguard Shen Li is interested. Even more surprising, the youngest of the lethal, ball-busting, and beautiful MacKilligan sisters is terrified of bears. But she's not terrified of pandas. She loves pandas.

Which means that whether Shen wants her to or not, she simply won't stop cuddling him. He isn't some stuffed giant panda, you know! He is a giant panda shifter. He deserves respect and personal space. Something that little hybrid is completely ignoring.

But Stevie has a way of finding trouble. Like going undercover to take down a scientist experimenting on other shifters. For what, Shen doesn't want to know, but they'd better find out. And fast.

Stevie might be the least violent of the honey badger sisters, but she's the most dangerous to Shen's peace of mind. Because she has absolutely no idea how much trouble they're in...or just how damn adorable she is.

Contains mature themes.

Entertaining

I love Shelly Laurenston's novels as they are laugh out loud funny! I thoroughly enjoy her characters and always look forward to the next chapter. The heroines of the Badger series are all engaging, quirky, a little psychopathic, and always amusing. Charlotte Kane's naration of this audiobook captures the nuances and characterizations perfectly. I love this author and narrator - it's a perfect combination. I can't wait for the next audiobook in the series.

Charlotte Kane is a great narrator.

4 1/2 stars for the Story

Stevie, Max and Charlie. The MacKilligan sisters. I love these characters - they are quirky, crazy, fiercely protective of each other (especially protective of former child prodigy Stevie), and extremely violent. The siblings love messing with people, and each other.

Stevie and Shen (and really Max and Charlie) are the main characters in In a Badger Way, however the plot is filled with appearances of many shifters from this author's previous shifter series. Having read all her shifter books, I really enjoyed seeing all these favourite characters again. Shen is exactly what Stevie needs to help her deal with daily life - a really big, strong, calm and capable Panda that is able to protect/guard her, and provide the distraction she needs to deal with her anxiety attacks.

I have to be honest and say I didn't really feel the chemistry between Stevie and Shen most of the time, it really felt like I was reading about a couple of best friends. That didn't take away from the story though - I enjoyed all the crazy antics and all the character appearances. This author is one of my favourites for shifter reads - I love the characters, they are a lot of fun to read.

I'm looking forward to Max's book. Other than her sisters and her best friend Dutch, there's not much she gives AF about. She is deadly and violent, and gets so much joy out of messing with people's heads. Whoever she gets paired up with is going to have to be one tough, very patient shifter.

The narrator for In a Badger Way was fantastic - she made me LOL numerous times, she did such an amazing job voicing all the characters. Loved it.

Narrator does well with all the voices.

Very humorous listening to this book.
Narrator does well with all the voices but we have the wrong name used at the end of chapter five. Becca is called Kelly, twice.
BOOK REVIEW
Well worth the wait
Just loved the whole story, thoroughly entertaining read once again by this talented author.
It carries on from book one without pause and gives us once again a load of action and entertainment.
Great having all these wonderful characters interacting and we get a partial answer to what is going on with the hybrids.
The dynamics between these three sisters, their outrageously crazy family and the people around them is so entertaining and humorous.
Loved that Gwen, Novikov and Blayne were taken along with Stevie. Pity Blayne didn’t get to have any fun but Stevie is all that seems to be needed.
My only big no no is the use of one specific word starting cu** that makes me cringe.
