Love Maisie Dobbs stories

I love Maisie Dobbs series. Play them on audible in the car. I love the research and this is the only book that I have ever read where I’ve looked up a song which was a legitimate world War, one song about nurses. Maisie comes from Lambeth where my father came from and her descriptions of the area and the people are reminiscent of my grandparents And their life in the east end of London at that time. My father was aSecond World War Vetrans and his stories include hearing his sister, calling to him to hang on that help was coming when he was in prison camp in Poland and within days, the Russians liberated the camp he was in. I like the glimpses of historical events such as the Spanish civil war and the evacuation of children to the country and commonwealth countries is interesting. The class descriptions seem similar to other British who dunnits of the era and a bit reminiscent of Father Brown and the like. Overall I enjoy these stories.
