Interesting light on psychopathy
While the graphic violence was not my cup of tea, I could see how it defined the character by the end of the book. I will try another book by this author.

Amazing first part, weak ending...
This was very enjoyable for the first 3/4 of the book. I found the characters interesting and I was looking forward to seeing how it all turned out.
I thought there was an interesting backstory with Isaac’s mother that was going to turn into an awesome twist. I thought I could see several cool twists coming, but the author didn’t take the story in the direction I expected, which was disappointing. I feel like they played it safe, and the story suffered for it.
The ending was wishy-washy, without a satisfying resolution. I felt like I had such high expectations for the ending because most of the book was so good, but the conclusion just didn’t deliver the goods.
Overall it was a bit of a letdown. So good to start, so much potential, but the ending was meh, and I wish the author would’ve had the balls to take it to its logical conclusion. There was tons of foreshadowing with some aspects Isaacs character and then it really lead nowhere which was a missed opportunity in my opinion.
