About this listen
Tom Keeler finds himself in the town of Promise, Indiana. He just needs to drop off a package, then he can get back to the Florida sunshine.
But nothing’s ever that simple. The package gets stolen; things get complicated.
Linda Cartwright’s a happily married woman, and then someone tried to kill her on her own front lawn.
Why would they do that? Good question.
Keeler’s interested, but Cartwright won’t talk about it. When Cartwright’s attacked a second time, Keeler begins to suspect that she’s in over her head. She’s a tough lady, but even tough nuts crack.
And it’s not only Cartwright. Bad things are happening to regular folk, all over the town of Promise.
Behind every bad deed are bad people.
And when bad people get murderous, Keeler takes it to the next level.

Yes similar to Reacher but in this book Tom Keeler really starts to differentiate himself - great story

Plot twister
Generic action thriller, but perfectly competent. Derivative plot, aside from the tornado, which brought new meaning to the term plot twist. The narration of the audio version by Jeff Harding, who also narrates the Reacher novels, elevates this above many similar yarns I have read.

The similarities to Jack Reacher is in your face
The fact that is was so similar to Jack Reacher and the fact that it’s narrated by the Jeff Harding makes it even more confusing too what your actually listening too…!!!

Another good story from Jack Lively
I expected a lot of action in this book and Tom K didn’t let me down. The scenes painted in this book are brilliant - ranging from suspense to warm and emotive. The descriptions put you in the moment and the pace was perfect.
Looking forward to the next one from Jack Lively.

Really good listen. Action packed, interesting all the way. Great narration by Harding, thought I was listening to Jack Reacher tho sometimes. Thoroughly recommend
