About this listen

A widely acclaimed international best seller, I'm Not Scared combines a coming-of-age narrative with a satisfying and spine-tingling story of suspense.

A sweltering heat wave hits a tiny village in Southern Italy, sending the adults to seek shelter, while their children bicycle freely throughout the countryside, playing games and getting into trouble. When the gang find a dilapidated farmhouse, nine-year-old Michele Amitrano makes a discovery so momentous he dare not tell a soul. It is a secret that will force Michele to question everything and everyone around him.

An enthralling thriller, I'm Not Scared is also a devastatingly authentic portrayal of childhood and the tension when it must join the adult world.

Adventurous Story but Skips pages.

I know there are other types of this story but the exact same one I am reading along and the narrator was skipping pages and lines. which is very irritating when you have an exam in the book. besides this issue, he had a good clear voice and spoke very well. the story was hooking and very adventurous. Tells a story based on a real occurrence that happened in Italy. one of my favorite books in which the movie also took the book and made it a visual work of art!

Great but there are some problems...

I have an exam in a little while and I got this to help motivate me to read the book and do it a little faster but I was reading along and found that sometimes the audio book skips a page or two in the story. it's kind of annoying and I would prefer it to not skip pages but as a story in it's self it doesn't take away anything, just a few details and world building.

RUINED BY NARRATOR

Amazing story however the narrator ruined it. Reads too slow and cringy tone. Disturbing when the narrator changes voice into a girl
