About this listen
All's fair in hate and hockey.
My path to success never included an enemy as a teammate, especially one as infuriating as Quinton de Haas.
Clawing under my skin is his favorite pastime, only feeding the animosity between us as the years pass.
We’re as completely opposite as two people can be; the golden boy and the black sheep.
Constantly at odds or at each other’s throats.
The only thing we can agree on is hockey is our true love, and we’ll do whatever it takes to come out on top.
I never imagined that drive would lead me to do the unthinkable: falling into bed with my not-so-straight rival.
But athletes are a superstitious bunch, and when our hook-ups lead to victories, we tell ourselves we can’t stop.
Besides, it’s all for the sake of the team, right?
Iced Out is the first in a five book stand-alone college sports romance series featuring two misunderstood rival teammates, snarky banter, and more secret spicy times than any audiobook should be filled with. Not suitable for anyone under 18 years of age.

Story of Oakley and Quinton
This is a rivals to more hockey romance, featuring Oakley and Quinton, and is the first book in the Leighton U series.
Oakley and Quinton were on rival hockey teams during high school, when it’s time to go to college, they went up at the same college in the same hockey team - but that doesn’t stop their rivalry.
Oak and Quinn’s competitive nature leads to them hooking up to prove a point but when they win their first game of the season the next night, their superstitious nature leads them to believe they need to keep hooking up to keep winning.
This is a reread for me, and even though I’ve read it three times now, I still fall in love with it again and again. The writing is superb, it’s spicy, witty, heartfelt and full of bickering and banter. You can’t help but love Oak and Quinn, flaws and all. Their relationship development from rivals to forever is emotional, and I of course cried again.
The narration is fantastic. I could listen to it again and again.
This is a cracker of a series, jump in.
Things to expect in this MM romance are:
College sports romance
Rivals to more
Hockey teammates
Bi-awakening
Hockey superstitions
Lots of spice & dirty talk
teammates with benefits
Both fall hard
3rd act breakup
All-in

The narrators smashed it 👌
Both narrators did an amazing job bringing this story to life. They deserve so many stars.
The story seemed to start on a weak premise very abruptly (reminiscent of adult films) and sometimes seemed to jump over important scenes and opportunities for character development, before just fast forwarding to the next hook up.
But overall, both MCs are endearing and it was cute to watch their relationship grow, again absolutely enhanced by the narrators.

So invested
The way I ate this up! Couldn’t put the book down. It was spicy, dramatic and had so much soul. I want to know what’s next for these hockey boys. Loved it. Great performance from both voice actors too.

The VA's/characters emotions were prominent when they read
Oakley's VA had a weird sound to their recordings. less crisp than Quinton's VA, but excellent job all around.
