what did I just listen too?

the plot is good, I'm sitting here after being 25hours awake, not being able to sleep, wondering what just happened?
I could not stop listening.
I found the female lead whining on at certain times. but overall the naration was done well. it's read in duet and I was submerged balls deep into the storytelling.
I was not prepared for the twist and cliffhanger in the end.

noooooo the most horrible ending ever nooo, overall I did enjoy this book got my anxiety pretty high.

Drawn Out!

17 hours (approximately) of audio listening.
I felt the story could’ve been told in half (or less) the time.
Audible narration was not good.
I guess expectations rise, especially if you’ve read (or listened to) books like Haunting Adeline or Under Your Scars.
I was so looking forward to this one, but definitely won’t be listening to book 2.
