About this listen
She belongs to a different world.
Struck by a strange illness that confounds human doctors, Neera turns to alien physicians instead. The prognosis? She’s not what she always believed herself to be—Earth’s atmosphere is slowly killing her. Too broke to afford the insane cost of relocating to a new, more suitable world, Neera turns in desperation to the Prime Mating Agency. The match? A sexy merman, with pink scales, scarlet hair, and a voice that makes her toes curl.
When Echo hears the Agency has finally found a match for him, he’s over the moon. Finding out his mate’s weakened health will require much caring and nurturing during her recovery has his protective instincts surging forward. Despite some initial awkwardness, her courage, resilience, and mischievous personality have him enthralled.
But as Neera evolves into her true self, will this newfound haven become toxic for her as well? Will she be forced to leave behind the blossoming happiness she has found here with Echo?

my favourite alien
Oooh this one brings earth into play and is further along with technology than previous books, except for book 3. That technology in a more natural way.
Regine has created an ingenious plot with the world's problems folded into space opera. It's a fantastic idea and absolutely unique. I just loved this one.
Although this Isn't the first time I've listened to this series with the h's outcome being as it is.
Again the parallels of the animal world and the sci-fi world is so clever.
This plotline mainly centres around the personal growth of H and h and the h's situation so unlike the action in previous novels.
The world of this story is pretty amazing and shows huge creativity in Regine.
The trope that emerges toward the end of this book isn't my favourite but it was light enough to keep me listening.
Just loved the quieter, tribal, cultural plot, definitely different. So good.
Daryl Mayfield, another great narration. Thank you.
