5 star ending

Too often the book seemed to drag along which wasn't helped by totally unsympathetic characters, most downright nasty. The only truly good characters were all dead. The positive reviews encouraged me to make this purchase and a belief that i had enjoyed a previous book by the writer; i must have been wrong.
