About this listen
The fourth novel in the Harriet Blue series sees Harry on the hunt for a missing mother and child, while also trying to solve the murder of a prison doctor.
Harriet Blue used to be a detective. Now she’s inmate 3329.
Prison is a dangerous place for a former cop – as Harriet is learning on a daily basis.
So, following a fight for her life and a prison-wide lockdown, the last person she wants to see is Deputy Police Commissioner Joe Woods. The man who put her inside.
But Woods is not there to gloat. His daughter Tonya and her two-year-old child have gone missing.
He’s ready to offer Harriet a deal: find his family to buy her freedom....

the book is great - beware this is the 4th book!
this is the LAST book in the 4 part story. auduble really needs to get its act together because the 3rd book has the blurb of the second book which made me down load and listen to the wrong book... ruined the series for me. amazing writer great story... disapointed by audible. why there is not a function to automatically see book series I don't know.

Loved the story, shame it's the last one.
I preferred narrator of the previous books.

An Aussie story, heroine and reader
This is read by an Aussie, about Aussies, I dont know what connection Candice Fox has with James Patterson, but it totally works. I have listened to all four in the series and they move along at a cracking pace that kept me interested from first to last page. A excellent listen and its great to hear an Aussie reading it, Kathryn Hartman does a perfect job. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and the previous three in the series. To get the best out of these four books it would probably be best to start with book one, as this gives the background to Harriet Blue, the heroine.

Narrator a bit flat with this one
Story was ok but the narrator sounded almost like a computerized voice at the beginning of this book. Not as good as the other books.

Fast paced
I just love that this series is set in Australia. I would recommend reading the previous books in the series as it was very fast paced and made references to the previous stories. I was surprised when the book started with Detective Harriet Blue in prison, but am happy that there were repercussions from the previous book in the series, because so often characters seem to get away with stuff. I was a bit disappointed when this one finished though and I hope there’s another to follow.

I liked that the story was centred in Australia
I had read the earlier editions and I knew most of the characters and the locations
