About this listen
Rob didn't think of himself as anyone special, but when a pitch-black portal tried to wrap his best friend in chains, he stepped up without thinking and found himself ensnared instead.
His moment of heroism results in being torn away from everyone he knew and loved, kidnapped by an unknown force that leaves him with a note in his pocket stating: "Good luck."
After being thrown into the wilderness of Elatra, a hostile fantasy world ruled by levels, stats, progression, and bizarre video game logic, he finds himself entirely out of his depth. Armed with nothing but a sword and the clothes on his back, he sets out on his the first day, and almost dies. On the second day, he almost dies again. On the third, he began to notice a worrying trend. And almost dies.
It doesn't get any easier from there.
Overcoming the wilds is just the first step in his journey; the society of Elatra is incredibly hostile to humans, having just come off of a devastating war that left over half the population dead, and getting the locals to trust the last human in existence is a struggle in and of itself. Between being powerless in a world that hates him and suffering under a System that is altering his mind in unwanted ways, Rob quickly finds that monsters aren't nearly the biggest thing to worry about.
As far as LitRPG isekai adventures go, Rob drew the short straw in many ways. But that's okay - all the bullshit in the world won't keep him down. He'll carve out a place in this world with his bare hands if necessary. He'll survive, and then he'll thrive.
Whether anyone wants him to or not.

Loved it
Being transported to another world. Sign me up please. This was witty and action packed. Loved the voice actor and could see all the drama play out in my head. Will definitely be getting book 2.

For the love of god drop the end of chapter level recap
The only bad thing is the almost endless re-cap of the levels and perks and skills at the end of chapters think one went for a full 2min
Other than that it’s a good story I like the overall pacing and will probably get the next one
Edit:
oh boy in the later books, I would have wished for 2min recaps at least in the later books you can skip them easily with chapter selection, it's just annoying when you driving and you can't switch over and bam 20min later and the recap is still going
great series never the less.

Great with a but.. .
Great story, great narration. My only issue is the end of chapter reviews, I have read a lot of litrpg, and I just didn't enjoy the end of chapter reviews because it felt like I was just being feed the same information twice for no reason. That being said, the story in between was great. MC is great, look forward to following his adventures in this book as well as any to follow.

I liked it but the reason behind why not grind more
Is annoying way not grind that skill oh it because leveling high is the reason It is the reason why they keep stopping him from getting skill ups I get it if he wanted to go around killing everyone for exp but training should be fine I get not want to change but they use it every time

Nicely done
A well written and surprisingly good litrpg.
With so many below average litrpg books out there it’s always nice coming across a gem like this one.
Thankyou Kamikazepotato, looking forward to the next one ;)

enjoyed it
at first I wasn't sure about it , because it felt a bit stilted and not very immersive but after the first 2 chapters it got better . the characters are interesting the story is a bit dark at times but really good I will get the next 2 books
