Inspiring, formal and educational
This book is a must-read with great insights into creating and structuring comedy. The book has a formal education approach which I really appreciate. Heaps of comedy lessons that would take years to figure out by yourself throughout the book. It is
very inspiring... I found myself rewriting my bits while listening. Hearing something new, pausing, making changes and going back to the book to continue.
The only downside was the examples chapter rereading the comedy writing as each change was made, This was great for one example although hearing every change reread in its totality was cumbersome, but, some people might appreciate this more than I did. Would trade half this chapter for more topics.
If you like creating comedy this book is quick to point out and sharpen the dullness of your writing and giving you structure, rules and guidelines in what seems like a chaotic art form.

Waste of time
Requesting refund. How can I trust a person to teach comedy writing when their own writing is lame and droll? Go read some David Sedaris, Amy Schumer, Lena Dunham & Tina Fey writing instead. You’ll learn a lot more.
