About this listen
In the brutal landscape of Antarctica, reclusive scientist Billie Everson lives every day in a danger zone. But when she finds something that’s been missing since World War II, enemies circle like vultures, pitching her and everyone else in the remote research station into the crosshairs of the world’s most merciless killers.
Ex-army hero Levi (Codename: Wasp) has flown choppers in the most hellish places, but when he and his team are sent to find out why Station Eleven has gone dark, heading into the most hostile place on earth makes the nightmares he’s been through seem like child’s play. Levi hasn’t believed in a cause since a failed mission cost him everything, but saving the brilliant scientist from the icy clutches of ruthless murderers has finally given him something to fight for.
With the darkness of winter only days away, will Levi save Billie? Or will hell freeze over them forever?
Book two in the Alpha Tactical Ops series, Hostile Mission is an action-packed, opposites-attract, forced-proximity romance featuring an alpha hero who is shackled by his childhood demons and a brilliant heroine who has vowed never to trust men again. Packed with forbidden steamy moments, this protector romance will keep you listening. Alpha Tactical Ops is a series of standalone books with interconnecting characters, featuring ex-military men and women and the partners trying to tame them.

bloody brilliant
I enjoyed book 1 but really loved book 2.
Kendall described the setting with depth and got the severity of Antarctica across with suspense, angst, and emotion .
I loved Billie. She was strong and plucky and wasn't a doormat around danger.
levi...I'm sorry, blade, but your mate is awesome, if not a tad better.
the story was paced nicely and kept you guessing about the mystery well into halfway through. there were no hotness scenes in this book but a slow burn instead. this worked nicely with the personalities of the 2 characters that were our stars. there was some baggage they needed to work through, and although it posed as obstacles for them, the emotion didn't run so deep as to rip you apart. if it had, I personally would have been asking for more back story and a longer book. so, for me, it was a good depth without becoming implausible.
I had a belly laughing time with a situation in Levis day job.
Antony's narration is just getting better. He did so well with inflections and tone, capturing the essence of the Australian psyche really well, especially Aaron, who i wanted to slap by the way.
Justine is such a versatile lady. Her accents that I've heard have proved that many times over.
I loved this Australian based book and do looking forward to the next one. Ghost is going to be awesome
