About this listen
Leah Giancarelli makes balancing her new role as a single mom look easy, but she'd have crumbled if not for her late husband's best friend, Marcus. She has her issues with HORNET, an elite hostage rescue team—after all, Danny would still be alive if he'd never accompanied them on their last mission—but Marcus has always been by her side, a strong shoulder to lean on . . .
Until, after one impulsive kiss, he's so much more.
Eaten alive by guilt, Marcus takes off, leaving both HORNET and Leah behind. Alone is easier. Safer. Because his feelings for Leah are all kinds of wrong, the worst kind of betrayal, and he can't trust himself not to act on them.
But Danny's death was only the beginning. Whoever hired the hitman is looking for something, and they think Leah knows where it is . . .
Contains mature themes.

safe in all ways
Marcus, Marcus Marcus, the least alpha I liked. Even Ian had more clout with me than the H. But, as I listened, i felt that the h and H seemed to fit. Both were ready to fight and were strong and quick thinking, but the h was a bit too soft in some places, and Marcus played some questionable moves that didn't sit well with me.
The plotline takes us through different countries and lots of twists.
Some missions were dark and emotional, and I was totally fidgety about where the finality leads them.
The romance was there along with steam and heartbreak and emotion.
it was slower paced than the other books
Ian's story has a nice opening, but I see I have to wait

Thanks again, Tonya and Stephen. I just loved these characters and their stories
I'm really hoping I get to listen to Ian's
Story.
It was so good H and h finally clicked. it was a great way to tie up loose ends
And Stephen, just solidified these beloved characters and their stories
I'm really hoping I get to listen to Ian's Story. it's already got my heart thumping

P.s. I love the Danny Innuendo throughout the last 2 books.
