Rupert Smythe is fond of many things. Callum Morrison isn’t one of them.
Rupert is a quiet, thoughtful business man and, sadly, a total wimp. Maybe not the ideal candidate to run a professional hockey team, but he signed on to do it anyway. As his life has reminded him on an almost daily basis since, this isn’t the most brilliant idea he’s ever had. And that was before Callum showed up.
Being in the spotlight is just part of being a professional athlete, but Callum needs a break. He arrives in Moncton unannounced, determined to help grow the team he just bought, and under the assumption he’d be welcome. Possibly he should have tried to make a better first impression.
Callum figures he can push through the rest of the summer, never expecting two kids, a host of friends, and his growing feelings for Rupert to derail everything he has ever believed about what he wanted, and what he could have.

Far too long!
Firstly fantastic narration, simply love Michael Ferraiuolo! He manages the number of characters brilliantly.
Overall this book is far too long! Huge sections were simply not needed.
Hockey is really not relevant, it’s barely mentioned.
The slow burn is SLOW and the ending is rushed.
There was very little enthusiasm of my end to see it through, I did, but barely.

Absolutely loved it!
My goodness! I was completely blown away by this wonderful story. I was devastated when it came to an end so unexpectedly as I was expecting and desperately wanted an epilogue to round off the book. I wanted to hear about Callum and Rupert back in Moncton and Alexi and Mike and the wedding. This book is truly wonderful, a fantastic story and there’s absolutely no doubt that MM hockey romances are the best and my absolute favourite. Samantha Wayland is a truly amazing MM romance author and this narration by Michael Ferraiouolo is superb as always! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
