About this listen
Romance on Aisle 16 - opposites attract amid the hammers and screws of the home improvement store.
Gabe Mason became a father at 17, and his daughter, Ellie, is the most important thing in his life. But being the parent the courts demand means Gabe has given up most of his dreams - education, making furniture, a gay social life - to be a model dad with a steady, reliable job in a home improvement store. Life's predictable until Jerry, a shy, eccentric guy in a hat and sunglasses, begs Gabe to oversee the renovation of his run-down mansion.
Gabe loves the house and the work, and Jerry's pretty lovable too, but when Gabe discovers Jerry's secret identity, he fears their passion could overturn both their lives forever.
Contains mature themes.

Heart Improvement
This story of Jerry and Gabe is so romantic and heartwarming. A highlight also is their gorgeous daughter. There is room for some more chapters of this beautiful tale Ms Lain! Such lovely writing by Lain and brought to life perfectly by Graves. Bravo! More please!

Unexpectedly good
Didn’t expect much. It was free on Audible plus so thought I’d give it a listen. Turned out really good. Thoroughly enjoyed it. A little predictable but an enjoyable listen and narration was good.

sweet slow burn
Its the cliche "famous person and the oblivious person who doesn't know the other person is famous fall in love". I usually go out of my way to avoid books particularly about rich popstar romances but I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it finished far to soon! the ending snuck up on me. I think I enjoyed it so much because of how quirky Jerry is and is so different to his popstar persona, Jet.
I enjoyed the writers story, lovely words and well written to easily visualize the story in my mind and the narrator was spot on as well.

I loved this so much! I really wish there was a sequel although the story is perfect already. I just greedy and want more Jerry and Gabe. The narration was spot on as well.

Pretty good
The ending was anticlimactic and cringe but I loved the rest of it a lot.
The way they interact with the daughter and the way she’s written is a bit weird as well but whatever
