Publisher's Summary

Safety is an illusion. Security is only a fleeting sense. Peace is a myth.

Steve and the other survivors in the UK have rebuilt and healed after the brutal end to the reign of Richards. But removing a dictator was only the beginning....

Years after a mistake of compassion and humanity, an enemy thought long gone returns to bring down a rain of violence and terror the likes of which they have never seen before.

Their society, a peaceful one of trade and cooperation, has moved on from the bloody aftermath of the collapse, but that evolution blunts their teeth to be able to combat the new threat.

The call to return to the rainy shores of England is strong for Dan and his fearless accomplices, so they return home to do what they do best: bring justice to a lawless world.

Brilliant

RC BRAY is the master narrator. I love this series so much. Brilliantly written by Devon C Ford.

Enjoyed the whole series

Totally testosterone based but I enjoyed the characters, storyline and performance and the fact that it was delivered with a good drop of humour.

another great story.

This one of my favourite series of books, the characters, the situation and the pragmatism of actions the author has given the characters. Of course it is topped off by the narrator, about the best I've heard.

Ford and Bray are the best!

Had to skip Book 7 & 8 because I couldn't take the voice of the narrator. Luckily I didn't feel like missing anything from book 6. This one probably isn't the best but still excellent!
I wished I was able to listen to the Leah Chronicals but couldn't focus on it due to the reader. Hopefully one day they will re-read the book and I'll able to complete the missing pieces

I’m sad this series is over…

Dan and Leah and Mitch and Neil and Steve etc have been my companions now for several months while I listened to this series. I was hooked from book 1, and none of these books, the Leah chronicles included, disappointed. They were so well written, and the characters became like family to me.

I’m now wandering around like a lost puppy, not knowing what to do, now they are over.

Fantastic

I have loved this series since I found them earlier this year, the only minor query I would have is that this book’s ending felt a little rushed perhaps. But overall a great book to smash out on cold raining day.

Great series all of them.

The storylines & characters were more plausible than some apocalyptic stories. Loved the personalities too. Sad to reach the end of the series.

One of the better entries.

I actually really enjoyed book #8, the one before this, given some of the previous entries were a bit of a let down. This one was also really enjoyable, particularly given that R C Bray was back as narrator. My only qualms would be that the ending felt somewhat rushed and Bray pronounces some words very strangely. Otherwise, great listen.
