About this listen
Hollywood & Crime is a groundbreaking true crime series about the most infamous murders in Tinseltown history.
In our 26-episode series opener "The Black Dahlia Serial Killers", host Tracy Pattin investigates the sensational unsolved murder of Elizabeth Short. Known as the Black Dahlia, Short was a star-struck young woman whose body was found completely severed at the waist in January 1947. Many remember her tragic story, yet few know that more than a dozen other women died in similar circumstances around that same time.

Is this a podcast
Somewhat interesting. Each chapter was like listening to a podcast. The beginning of each chapter started with the same advice to go back to the very start if you hadn't already heard it. I occasionally dosed off and wasn't enthused enough to back track for what I missed

enjoyable and engaging.
Having the information on these murders dramatised is a lot more enjoyable than just someone reading it or having to read the book. With the sound effects and characterisations, you can immerse yourself into the era and feel as though you are hearing the news on your 1940's radio. It also rounds up and describes other similar murders from the decade, one at a time, so you have them all on the one audiobook.
By the way, the Dahlia's tattoo was on her left thigh, not her ankle.
