Thousands of years ago, the city of Kuan Hador - a place steeped in evil - was defeated by a vast army of mystic warriors, the enemy banished beyond the gateway between worlds.

And where years before a host stood against the enemy, now only a handful of warriors prepare to face it once more: Kysumu the Swordsman, last of a dying breed; Yu Yu Liang, the ditch digger; Ustarte, the Beast-Priestess; and the mysterious Waylander.
Together they must solve an ancient mystery that will bring the dead to life for a final battle outside time. But first Waylander must find a way to kill a man who cannot die.

Always Excellent
Every book a wonderful escape . Beautifully written and the narration a delight. Cannot praise these books enough. If trying for the first time I would recommend reading each series in order.

A hero of legend
What can I say about Waylander? He leaps from the page. Along with Druss, he is a hero of legend. The characters are well rounded and the story has you urging them on on this heroic journey. I cannot do justice to this review as I find it hard to write reviews. All I can say is David Gemmell, in my opinion, is the greatest heroic fantasy novelist next to Tolkien. The performance by Sean Barret was exceptional as usual.

Brilliant!!!
Gemmell is a master storyteller and in this, the third of the Waylander novels, he has once again shown why he is one of the greats.
Action, courage, battles and sacrifices, what more can you ask for…
