JD Kirk you were almost going to get a nasty message from me!!!! How dare you make me cry! TWICE! I laughed a lot too, “I lost my shoe”… Supernatural inside joke. Can’t wait for you next one.

Another great DCI Logan story
Always such great stories, such a brilliant combination of excellent crime writing with humour woven through it. And fantastic characters. All brought to life with Angus King’s extraordinary narration. Can’t wait for the next one. Much prefer the DCI Logan series to the Bob Hoon series.

Thoroughly entertaining.
At first I wasn't sure if I'd continue with it because I absolutely despised one of the characters. However, I was lured in by the depth of the characters. Spot on reading by Angus too. I was very impressed by his many varied voices.

Brilliant
I am a fan of, such gritty characters and sublime humour. Story and plots enhance the building of the characters so you feel familiar with them, like old friends that you are eager to meet again.

hilarious- very entertaining
I find it hard to describe a book about a dead girl as 'hilarious' but this was the 1st book in a long time that had me laughing out loud. I'm from near Inverness so the humour took me right back. The story was fantastic and a real page turner too but almost took second place to the interaction of the characters
