About this listen
Hanna
I hid in the shadows all my life. That was where I felt I belonged the most, because I was ridiculed by the ones I loved, by society’s view of women like me.
But now I believe someone is out to hurt me, yet I don’t know who it could be. I didn’t think I had anyone to fear, except for in the shadows, the same ones that used to keep me safe.
Moving to Cherry Hill meant I could start fresh, but this town holds something I wasn’t ready for. Not only do I find things out about myself and parts of my life I didn’t know existed, but I also meet him.
Theo
I was only here for a job. But now she’s in front of me, interfering and blocking the clear path. Bending and breaking under my hands day in and day out. The secrets I hold could destroy her and, in turn, hurt me.
I regret how we began the moment I get to know her. Now, it all hangs in the balance. My secrets are getting too heavy, and when they come out, I just may lose the one woman I know I could fall for.

Pull of a great story & sacredness in narration
Pull of a great story & sacredness of great narration.
I am new to this story, I saw a grab on Tiktok, on a lil research, its appears to very important in many readers minds with strong passionate opinons.
For me, I want you to approach this story with confidance as the narration provides the clarity and feelings behind actions leading you along with a suspenseful storyline.
Its a great listen, written by erotica savvy author CC Monroe.
This book is deeper than a list of characteristics occuring in the book, Abandonment, Plus Size FMC,Small Town Romance, BDSM Degradation and Praise, Hard kinks edge play, a suspensful secret, Possessive hot sexy Alpha. Definitely there is exhilarating dirty talk sex.
I listened & continued to listen because its great.
I was mainly attracted to the relationship evolving and secrets I learnt .
I enjoyed Hanna growing into her Power and Theo losing his Control.
Simone & Corvin voicing the lightness and deepening darkness rightly and passionately. Their was no hesitancy. They knew the right path to storytell.
Simone deftly expresses Hanna's self doubt in her mind that is very emotional to then speaking out aloud her darkest wants of Hanna's mind. Simone while may have it easier as her character is obviously likeable, her approach has no laxiety.
If anything Simone creates believability that Hanna has increased her strength and sense of her self and remains only weak, when it comes to Theo.
Corvin actually made the Darkly & very unreachable Theo - well actually bloody likeable , I think its because you could hear perfectly fleeting glimpses with Corvin's inflections of Theo's indecisiveness, humour or his genuine appreciation of Hanna's body. Even inhales and exhales to pauses were placed well.
Corvin with narration credibility gives Theo a dimension, richness and therefore convinces the listener to believe the experiences Theo genuinely needs to gives to Hanna. Also how Theo is easily unarmed and loses control to Hanna's love.
great story. read with passion.
make room for this.make room for a great love story.

Weak characters and below average storyline
I was so excited to find a romance novel with a plus size love interest but was so disappointed with how she is written and how her love interest is written, weak plot and weak characters and not worth a listen
