Eingefleischten Fans braucht man Über Terry Pratchett nicht viel erzählen - seine Scheibenwelt-Romane werden auf der ganzen Welt heiß geliebt. Im zweiten Band der skurrilen Fantasy-Serie geschieht gleich zu Beginn ein Mord. Tatwaffe ist das ebenso schreckliche wie unaussprechliche Gfähr. Weil es in Ankh-Morpork offiziell gar keine Morde geben darf, gerät die Gesellschaft aus den Fugen und Korporal Karotte setzt alles daran, einen drohenden Krieg zwischen Zwergen und Trollen zu verhindern...
