Auf "Heimatabend Deluxe - Live" gibt sich Paul Panzer wie immer souverän. Für ihn gibt es keine Situation im Leben, die er nicht bewältigt. Gut, was für Paul normal ist, lässt andere Leute nur mit dem Kopf schütteln. Aber das stört ihn nicht. Und so philosophiert er über das Leben, über Beziehungen, die Ehe und seine Frau Hilde. Er schildert seine ersten Erfahrungen mit dem Internet und Google, bringt US-Beamten bei der Einreise in die USA auf Trab und zeigt den Restaurantbesitzern in China, was 'ne Harke ist. Und wenn das Thema auf Handwerker kommt, ist er nicht zu halten. Von Au-Pair-Jungen hält er so rein gar nichts und Daily-Talkshows findet er grauenvoll. Da geht er lieber als Sportschwimmer frühmorgens in die Schwimmhalle und ärgert sich über schwimmende Rentner. Und ab und zu greift er auch zum Telefon-hörer...
