Publisher's Summary
She needs a fresh start. He wants a second chance....
My new job as a chef in a small town was supposed to be my ticket to peace and quiet. I didn’t expect to run into the former hockey star who gave me the hottest nights of my life. And, oops, he’s sort of my new boss. So much for keeping my past where it belongs.
Ty still thinks I’m the fun party girl. He has no idea how much things have changed. One thing that hasn’t changed: the spark between us. It’s hotter than the blowtorch I use on my crème brûlée.
I’m already keeping secrets, so what’s one more? Our tryst is forbidden, it’s fun, and it gets complicated as fast as you can say “check, please”. I didn’t expect to have a future with Ty. And I definitely didn’t expect to have a baby with him. Some falls are harder than others. But it depends on who’s there to catch you.

A lovely holiday read
Ty and Belle's story is a lovely mix of fun, good memories from College days and the very real problems of Bipolar and family expectations. Throw in a stray kitten and I'm hooked. A lovely holiday read.

Narrator's talked me into it
This installment of the series was the least of my faves. It was a simple 2nd chance story that just went round in circles with self doubt and self realisation. Nothing exciting, just slow paced and predictable.
The heroines problem is a pretty sobering condition but I felt the author kind of down played it and glossed over it. Even solutions to her predicament, In Real life isn't a guarantee but that's not really addressed.
The steamy parts were there, the romance was a little on the light side and the HEA had to happen due to ...well where the author wrote it.
Just love these 2 narrator's do I didn't waste time clicking play.
I sometimes wished the secondary characters would come in to play in other books in the series. But with different authors It doesn't seem to happen.
Love the setting of vermont.

Terrible narration
The story might have been ok standard romantic recipe, but I couldn’t listen to the lot because the female narration was so bad. At first I thought it was computer generated, the emphasis was so out of sync with the tone… but no. At times it sounded like she was trying to read a children story, and at others a sulky kid who was whining about a bumped knee. Could only listen to approx 2 hours before I had to give it away.
