A widower and a lost twin make good!
Tomás and Tiago Banner were world-famous models, until Tiago walked away with the love of his life. While Tomás has continued to find modelling work, he still feels like the rug has been pulled out from under him. When Tomás is propositioned by his long-time friend, Fir, the local Forestville doctor, he’s happy to have a NSA hookup. Fir is still reeling from losing his husband and having to raise his two boys on his own. He just wants the release of a one-night stand but it’s hard to separate the emotions when you’ve always had a crush on someone as beautiful and unattainable as Tomás. Maybe they can both help each other heal.
I liked the themes and the backstories here but it felt a little flatter to me than the two previous books. It lacked the sizzling chemistry: I could certainly sympathise with Fir but found it harder to feel for Tomás, maybe because he was painted as so controlling in the first book. Anyway, all the characters from the previous books make appearances—that was satisfying—and the final chapter where Tomás makes good was amazing so all-in-all, I did appreciated this episode. 🎧 Michael Dean—audio legend—does his usual amazing job!

Story of Tomas and Fir
This is a friends with benefits to more romance, featuring Tomas and Fir, and is the third book in the Forestville Silver Foxes series.
Fir is the local doctor and is a single dad since his husband passed away a few years ago. Tomas is a famous model trying to find who he is now his twin has found love. Fir also had a crush on Tomas since they were in high school. Being in a small town and both gay, Fir proposes they start hooking up.
This story is very sweet, both MCs aren’t looking for love but it finds them anyway. Their chemistry is great and I loved how they both accepted their feelings growing. It’s pretty low angst even with Tomas dealing with his codependency on his twin and Fir dealing with living with his grief for his husband.
This series is really good so far.
