Eve Levine - half-demon, black witch and devoted mother - has been dead for three years. I couldn’t finish

I tried to like this book, but it lost me and I was struggling to get through it so I gave up. I enjoyed the parts with Jamie. Eve was okay but I found it mediocre at best so gave up and moved on to the next book in the series.
